1940’s Wrap Dress Class

1940s Wrap Dress Sewing Class | Sew Over It

The 1940’s Wrap Dress is a vintage-inspired wrap dress designed for woven fabrics. Such a flattering shape, this dress suits a multitude of figures and works beautifully for a variety of occasions. It works perfectly as an evening outfit, but maybe shorten the hem and alter the sleeve length and this dress will fit seamlessly into your daytime wardrobe. There are so many possibilities!

The 1940’s Wrap Dress features a cross-over wrap front which gathers into a waistband at the bodice and skirt, closing with invisible poppers at either side. The pretty collar falls down the front from the shoulder seam, which is gathered to create bust shaping. The inside of the dress is finished with an overlocker to create beautifully neat seams.

At the end of this class you will leave with a finished dress and a pattern altered to fit you, so you can make many more at home.

Tea and cake will be provided to help the sewing process along!
