Hands up who’s enjoying the Great British Sewing Bee! We LOVED seeing the 1950’s machines in this week’s episode. Aren’t they gorgeous?
As some of you may know, we are offering 20% off selected classes and sewing patterns throughout the Sewing Bee. To celebrate this week’s vintage theme, we’re showcasing our classic 1950’s inspired beaut of a dress, our beloved Betty!
Betty Dress sewing pattern
We launched the Betty Dress pattern last year and we were so pleased with how well she was received. If you’ve sewn a few simple garments before, Betty is a great summer dress pattern to get your claws into. With a fitted, darted bodice, glorious full circle skirt and invisible zip in the centre back seam, she’s flattering on so many figures, and makes a perfect party dress.
The instruction booklet is fully illustrated, but for anyone in need of a little extra help, don’t forget to check out the Betty Dress sewalong on the blog.
The Betty Dress sewing pattern is available in both printed and downloadable PDF format from our online shop.
The Betty Dress sewing class
For anyone who would love to tackle the Betty Dress in a class environment, you can also get 20% off the course. We have one starting in March – get your summer clothes sewn early!
Our brilliant teacher Julie will help you to adapt your pattern to fit you so by the end of the course will have the perfect fitting dress, as well as a personalised pattern you can use again and again.
