An advanced beginner dressmaking project, we reckon if you’ve made one or two simple garments you should be able to tackle the Ultimate Pencil Skirt. The instruction booklet comes fully illustrated to help you along. We know you can do it!
We recommend medium to heavy weight woven fabrics for the Ultimate Pencil Skirt. Medium weight wools and tartans work wonderfully, as does stretch cotton or cotton sateen. Anything with a little bit of stretch (around 3%) will make wearing your skirt extra comfortable! Check our online shop selection for fabrics we’ve picked specifically for the pattern.
The Ultimate Pencil Skirt comes in UK sizes 8-20. See the chart for details on fabric requirements.
Like all our patterns, the sizes are nested to make it easier to grade between the sizes, depending on your measurements.

So what is a PDF pattern?
A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home. Simply download, print, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 2 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A DOWNLOADABLE PATTERN WHICH YOU HAVE TO PRINT AT HOME. At the end of the checkout process you will receive an email with the link to your pattern and instructions.
