Polka Dot Silk Cami

We have some exciting news to announce this week. We will be releasing our Silk Cami as our first PDF pattern! And the others will follow. To celebrate this and to test the PDF, I made one for myself this weekend.

I feel bad admitting this, but I am a PDF pattern virgin. I have downloaded Nettie but keep putting off making it as I thought sticking it together will be a drag. Turns out they’re not a drag at all. It took me 20 mins to stick the pattern together (it is only 4 pieces so really simple).

Then the sewing and cutting took less than two hours and that’s with French seams. There are no bust darts and the facing for the neckline and armhole is all-in-one. I already have a few in our sandwashed silk, so I thought I would try this one out of rayon I picked up at Mermaid Fabrics for a few pounds. It made it even quicker to sew.

So, watch this space… the final checks are just happening and then the Silk Cami will be set free into the wild!
