Ultimate Shift Dress Class

Sew Over It Ultimate Shift Dress Sewing Class | part of our Intro to Dressmaking class | learn to sew in London!

Want to learn how to make your own dress? Then the Ultimate Shift Dress class is the perfect course for you!

Extremely versatile, the Ultimate Shift is a staple, everyday dress with three different variations: full sleeves, sleeveless or pretty frill cap sleeves. You can even make it in a top or tunic length. Simple to wear and easy to style, it’s a real wardrobe workhorse!

Your pattern will have every variation so you can mix it up and make as many as you like. Lisa has filled her handmade closet!

On this course you will learn: how to accurately measure yourself, how to check the size of the pattern, how to pin and cut out the fabric, how to sew darts, stitch a back neck opening, finish the seams using an overlocker, attach facings, insert a full or frill cap sleeve or create the sleeveless version.

You will leave with your finished Ultimate Shift Dress and your own pattern that has been altered to fit you, so you can make the dress again.
