1960’s Coat

Take your dressmaking skills to the next level to tailoring. The coat is a classic 60s shape. Learn all the tips and tricks on how to construct a coat, how to interline and line and finish the coat to a high standard. There are lot of new skills to learn when constructing a coat and this class will teach you them.

As with all our intermediate-advanced classes you will alter the pattern and coat as you go to ensure a good fit.

Your sewing level

This coat is our most advanced class. Please do not book onto the course unless you are an intermediate dresssmaker and have completed lots of items. You will be expected to know how to sew darts without guidance, have experience of working with lining and know how to insert sleeves. You will also need to be able to sew accurately and at a good speed.

Tea and treats will be provided to help the sewing process along!
