Want to dip your toe in the sewing pool but not sure whether you want to commit to a full course yet? Then this is the class for you!
Learn how to sew whilst making yourself a lovely drawstring bag or tote bag – perfect to use as a laundry bag as well as for your gym kit, travelling and keeping things nice and tidy.
This is a beginner’s class so no sewing experience at all is required. We will teach you how to cut and pin fabric, thread a machine, sew in a straight line keeping to the seam allowance, and how to finish the inside of your bag to stop it from fraying. You will leave with a finished bag!
We will provide you with fabric and materials so you don’t need to bring anything with you.
Tea and cake will be provided to help the sewing process along!
If you fall in love with sewing you can then move onto our full-length beginners’ course Intro to Sewing and learn to build your skills: make a cushion cover, a tote bag, a make-up bag and get to grips with some alterations.
