Get stylish this autumn/winter with our Chic cape. And the best bit – you won’t see anyone else in it on the tube. Complete a cape in the class and take the pattern away to make one to match every outfit.

Learn how to sew using a heavier fabric, learn lining techniques and how to attach a collar.

You will need 2m of wool or tweed, the weight of which will determine how cosy and warm you want to be. You will also need 2m of coat lining.

This is not a beginner’s dressmaking project. You will need some experience of dressmaking.

Cake and tea are provided to help the sewing process along!

Level: 5

Course Length: Two 3 hour classes

Teacher: Dominique Davant, Freia Groves

Materials required: 2m wool or coating fabric and 2m of lining. You can find the perfect fabric on our online shop.

Patttern sizes: 8-20. If you are outside or may be bordering on this range of sizes, please contact us a week before the class as we will need to grade a pattern especially for you. If it is just one size up or down, we will do this free of charge, but if it is more then there may be a small fee.
