What do we do?
We’re all about sewing and customising, so we run everything from customising stations and denim bars in store to bespoke workshops for press days and members clubs. Think customising and crafting for any group size, for any age, and any theme.
Who we work with
We love to work with everyone from big fashion retailers and department stores to smaller brands, events and festivals.

We were asked to take part in the launch of the Denim Studio in Selfridges – the largest denim department in the world. We ran complimentary customising of any denim bought in the studio. We embellished jeans, jackets and more with studs, diamantes, leather trim and lace. We also offered a denim distressing service. Our services were supported by exclusive customising kits that could be purchased so that customers could have a go at home.
More recently we helped launch Cath’s new book, Sewing Book, we hosted customer events in their flagship store at Piccadilly and Lisa performed a sewing-theatre in the window!Read more about this on our blog here.
We were lucky enough to go to the beautiful country manor hotel, The Pig Nr Bath for the H&M Home Autumn/Winter press trip. We ran a cushion customising session for their guests in their stunning dining room.
Lisa was also a consultant on Gap’s Denim Addict project. She trained all the UK and Europe teams on hemming and distressing jeans. This has now been rolled out in over 20 stores. Sew Over It also helped launch the project but running in store events alongside the Gap team.
We ran a bag customising workshop for their accessories press day, helping guests customise a faux leather clutch with whatever saying came to mind. It was the perfect activity for people who make their living out of words!
Sew Over It has worked with John Lewis across various events. We have worked with them to host a customising workshop for bloggers at the launch of their House range. We have run in store cushion classes for customers in and around London, celebrating their 150 year anniversary. Lisa also ran a ‘Sewing Bee’ at their flagship store where she helped a group of bloggers make a dress.
Sew Over It ran a customising station at their Flagship store for Vogue Night Out. See the video at the bottom of this page. This was supported by online tutorials and customizing pack giveaways. We have also helped host two press events where we customised denim and army jackets with beautiful Indian trimmings.
We helped run River Island’s Design Den at Lollibob Festival, helping over 500 children customise their t-shirts for a competition. Think ink stamps, stickers, glue, paper and all things that glitter!
Sew Over It was invited to the ‘Make It Your Own’ event in the flagship store. Here we customised any denim item for customers with retro patches, distressing and studs.
