Almost two years ago we released the Cocoon Coat pattern with issue one of Lisa Comfort magazine, and very quickly your versions started popping up on our Instagram feed. We were so pleased you loved this pattern so much, and we knew lots of you wanted it adding to our collection permanently.
Today we’re delighted to do just that! With updated instructions and new illustrations, the Cocoon Coat PDF pattern is here!
Super stylish, the Cocoon Coat is an on-trend, easy-to-wear coat, perfect for Autumn and Winter.
It features a shaped collar stand, drop shoulder and a full lining. Optional welt pockets can be added for those who want to keep their hands cosy whilst testing their skills!
There are no fastenings but the coat wraps closed at the front. The gently oversized look and comfy fit mean you’ll be reaching for it all season.
We’d class the Cocoon as an intermediate level pattern. Most of the construction isn’t too tricky, but if you choose to make the welt pockets and you’ve never made them before, we recommend taking this stage slowly and paying close attention to the instructions. Make sure to check out our free tutorial over on Stitch School too!
When it comes to fabric, the Cocoon Coat is pretty versatile, so no matter whether you’re looking for a staple everyday coat or an all-out statement, you’ll find something that’ll work. Make yours in a classic coating such as melton or boiled wool, or go big drama with a bright pink mohair!
Sew yourself a quick, stylish coat with the Cocoon Coat!
