We’re currently receiving an unprecedented number of emails, and it’s taking us much longer than usual to reply. Before contacting us, please read the below frequently asked questions, as it’s likely we may have answered your query.
Where is my order?
We have now resumed shipping orders from our shop (as opposed to our homes), but because only one person is processing orders each day, is taking a little longer for your orders to be shipped. It is also taking longer for your orders to make their way through Royal Mail’s system. Therefore we ask you to be patient. If you have been waiting for more than two weeks, absolutely get in touch and we will look into where your order is. But if it hasn’t been two weeks, please sit tight. Both we and Royal Mail are doing our best, and time emailing back about orders means less time to process those orders. We know that whilst we have the free time, the urge to get going on a new project can be really strong and it can be frustrating not having all the supplies you need, but please know we’re doing the best we can.
I have a PDF pattern that I want printing. How do I order it?
You can order all previously purchased PDF patterns via our PDF Printing Copyshop Service. Make sure to follow the instructions on the page so that your order isn’t delayed.
I ordered a copyshop pattern. Where are my instructions?
When we print patterns with our copyshop service, only the pattern is printed, not the instructions. The link to the instructions can be found either in the email you received following your order, or via the Downloads area of your account on our website. They come as a PDF file that can be printed on a home printer if you like, or simply read from a laptop or tablet to save paper.
I can’t log in to my account. It doesn’t recognise my email address. Can you help?
We are getting a lot of emails about this, and the problem overwhelmingly seems to be that people are trying to log in to the wrong website. Our main website (sewoverit.co.uk) and our online class platform Stitch School (sewoveritstitchschool.co.uk) are two separate websites and work from different databases, and so if you have an account on one, you won’t necessarily have an account on the other. Please check which website you’re logging into and make sure it is the right one.
I can’t find my patterns in my account. Where are they?
Again, please check you’re logged into the correct website. Patterns purchased on our main website are only accessible from there, and will not show in the My Patterns area of Stitch School – and vice versa. If you’re sure you’re looking in the right place, it could be that your patterns have for some reason come unlinked from your account, in which case we will need to relink those for you.
I don’t have a PayPal account. How can I pay?
In most countries, you don’t need a PayPal account to use our website. When going to payment, select the option under the PayPal log in screen that says “Pay by Credit or Debit card”, and go through checkout that way. In some countries, such as Germany, this doesn’t show as an option, in which case you will need to create a PayPal account in order to purchase from our website. No other payment method is currently available.
Is a certain fabric in stock?
You can find all the fabrics we have in stock here on our online shop. Unfortunately we’re unable to send out personal notifications when a fabric comes back in stock, so please check the website daily if there’s something you’re waiting for.
I have a sewing or fitting question. Can you help?
We will always try and offer advice when it comes to our patterns, but whilst it is taking longer than usual to reply, you might get help more quickly by posting your question on the Sew Over It Makers Facebook group.
