Have you signed up to The Fold Line yet?
Founded by our friends Kate Underdown and Rachel Walker, The Fold Line is the new online sewing community getting a whole group of sewers excited.
Having known both ladies for a long time (Rachel is in charge of pattern development and production at Sew Over It and Kate used to be our manager), we were so thrilled to host their launch party at Sew Over It in Islington. And my, what a turn out!
The whole place was filled to the brim with what we can only describe as sewing royalty! It was lovely to see so many familiar faces and lovely sewing people. “We were so amazed at how many people came to celebrate, it meant so much to us”, Rachel told us.
We’re not surprised! Live for not even two weeks The Fold Line now boasts over 2500 members – how amazing is that? If you’ve not yet signed up make sure you do – and then come and find us!
Lisa has her own Designer profile which you can follow to keep track of what she’s up to.
Signing up means that you can create your own profile, make friends with others and follow loads of bloggers and pattern designers.
But that’s not all! Kate and Rachel have worked extremely hard to create a really amazing search function for finding patterns. If you have a garment in mind but need to find the perfect pattern, they’ve got you covered. Search by garment type, size, difficulty, the length of your piece of fabric and even body shape! Seriously try it out.
Over the next few weeks new features are set to be rolled out. We’ve got our eyes peeled for the Wish List function.
So congratulations ladies on a wonderful beginning and we’re wishing you and The Fold Line all the best for the future. If you’re already checking yourselves out in Love Sewing Magazine I think that means you’re off to a good start!
