The Audrey Top is a vintage-inspired knit top straight out of Midge Maisel’s wardrobe! A t-shirt with a difference, Audrey’s ready to give any outfit a touch of elegance. The flattering wide neckline shows off its deep neckband, which comes complete with three options. Choose from a standard flat neckband, add a cute little tie, or go big with a showstopping bow. Audrey has raglan sleeves, making sewing sleeves a dream – in fact the whole thing comes together in just a few hours! Depending on the season, choose from short, 3/4 or full length sleeves.

Designed to be sewn in light to medium weight knits, Audrey looks beautiful in cable knits and pontes for cooler weather, but sews up equally well in cotton jerseys for when the sun comes out. Our models have paired theirs with Lizzie and Erin Skirts, while Lisa wears hers with her Mia Jeans, Ultimate Culottes and Camille Trousers.

Sewing Level
The Audrey Top is an advanced beginner level sewing pattern, ideal for those who have sewn a few garments before. It’s a great pattern for those new to sewing knits.

Fabric Suggestions
For the Audrey Top we recommend using light to medium weight knit fabrics with some structure, such as cotton jersey, interlock knits, Ponte di Roma, cable knits and stretch velvet.

Sizing & Fabric Requirements
The Audrey Top sewing pattern is sized between UK sizes 6-30. The pattern is split into two different blocks, sizes 6-20 (B cup) and sizes 18-30 (D cup). See the chart for details on fabric requirements.

Like all our patterns, the sizes are nested to make it easier to grade between the sizes, depending on your measurements.

What will I receive?
The downloadable pattern file contains:

  • printable pattern (in both tiled print-at-home and copyshop format) in all sizes
  • fully-illustrated printable instruction booklet
  • imperial/metric conversion size chart

The Audrey Top pattern is either 30 A4 pages, 33 US letter pages, or 2 A0 copyshop page (sizes 6-20), or 39 A4/US letter pages, or 2 A0 copyshop page (size 18-30).

If you purchase the PDF Pattern + Copyshop Printing option, you will also receive your pattern printed on A0 paper in the post. Find out more about our PDF Printing Service here.

So what is a PDF pattern?
A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home on A4 or US letter paper. Alternatively you can choose to have the copyshop files printed on large A0 paper, and posted to you at home. If you’re using the A4 or US letter options, simply download, print at home, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
