The Bilberry T-Shirt is suitable for advanced beginners, and those new to knit fabrics.
Fancy some extra help?
If you’re unsure about sewing with knits and you’d like some extra help the Bilberry T-Shirt pattern is also available as part of our Make a Knit T-Shirt online class on Stitch School, which comes with both video tutorials as well as illustrated written instructions. You’ll also find video tutorials on hacking the Bilberry T-Shirt to give it a v-neckline or a scoop neckline on Stitch School too.
The Bilberry T-Shirt works best in a cotton or viscose medium weight jersey. If it’s your first time working with knit fabrics, we suggest using a cotton jersey as it is more stable and will make everything a little easier to sew. Go classic with a Breton stripe, bold with graphic prints or make one in every colour of the rainbow!
The Bilberry T-Shirt PDF sewing pattern is sized between UK sizes 8-20. See the chart for details on fabric requirements. Like all our patterns, the sizes are nested to make it easier to grade between the sizes, depending on your measurements.
The downloadable pattern file contains:
- printable pattern (in both tiled print-at-home and copyshop format) in all sizes
- fully-illustrated printable instruction booklet
The Bilberry Top pattern is either 18 A4 or US letter pages, or 1 A0 copyshop page. If you purchase the PDF Pattern + Copyshop Printing option, you will also receive your pattern printed on A0 paper in the post. Find out more about our PDF Printing Service here.
So what is a PDF pattern?
A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home on A4 or US letter paper. Alternatively you can choose to have the copyshop files printed on large A0 paper, and posted to you at home. If you’re using the A4 or US letter options, simply download, print at home, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
