The Bonnie Blouse is an intermediate level sewing pattern. Although not hugely advanced in construction, it has some tricker steps such as the concealed button placket and pleats, which require some precision. If you are an advanced beginner, you could try making the version without the pleated front as this is a little simpler.

For Bonnie we recommend lightweight woven fabrics with drape, such as rayon and viscose, lightweight crepes, silk charmeuse, crepe de chine, sandwashed silk, georgette or chiffon. Some very fine cotton voiles could work as long as they’re soft and drapey, but we’d advise against lawn and anything heavier, especially for the dress version, unless you want a more structured garment. To find the perfect fabric, have a look at our specially curated suggestions.
The Bonnie Blouse & Dress sewing pattern is sized between UK sizes 8-20. See the chart for details on fabric requirements.
Like all our patterns, the sizes are nested to make it easier to grade between the sizes, depending on your measurements.

So what is a PDF pattern?
A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home. Simply download, print, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
