The Dahlia Coat is an intermediate to advanced level pattern. Most of the construction is not too tricky, but if you choose to make the welt pockets and you’ve never made them before, we recommend taking this stage slowly and paying close attention to the instructions.

We recommend medium to heavy weight non-stretch fabrics such as melton wool, boiled wool, coatings, and boucle. For inspiration and to find the perfect fabric, have a look at our specially curated suggestions.
Dahlia is fully-lined, so you will also need lining fabric. We recommend using something with a silky finish so you can get the jacket on and off easily, such as satin, acetate, or even silk charmeuse for all-out luxury.
The Dahlia Coat is sized between UK sizes 8-20. See the chart for details on fabric requirements.
Like all our patterns, the sizes are nested to make it easier to grade between the sizes, depending on your measurements.

So what is a PDF pattern?
A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home. Simply download, print, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 2 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A DOWNLOADABLE PATTERN WHICH YOU HAVE TO PRINT AT HOME. At the end of the checkout process you will receive an email with the link to your pattern and instructions.
