Florence Dress PDF Sewing Pattern

The Florence Dress is a floaty, feminine, boho-inspired maxi dress. With its full-length skirt it offers maximum drama with a little touch of romance thrown in for good measure. With that on-trend nod to the 1970s, Florence will keep you looking stylish, swishy and totally effortless. She’s an outfit in one!

This pattern features 3/4 length set-in sleeves, an easy-fit elasticated waist, a full-length A-line skirt and a button-up bodice with pretty mandarin collar.

Designed to be sewn in lightweight woven fabrics, Florence is a year-round wardrobe staple: lovely for winter with thick wooly tights, and delightful in summer in a gauzy rayon.

Sewing Level
The Florence Dress is an advanced beginner to intermediate level sewing pattern. We recommend you have some experience sewing with lightweight fabrics, as they’ll work best for this pattern. With their super simple designs, our Silk Cami and Sylvia Robe are great patterns with which to practise sewing this type of fabric.

Fabric Suggestions
For Florence you’ll need to use a lightweight woven fabric with lots of drape. We recommend rayon, lightweight crepes, peachskin, chiffon, georgette and silks such as crepe de chine. With minimal interruptions on the bodice and skirt, there’s lots of scope to make a statement with a bold print. To find the perfect fabric, have a look at our specially curated suggestions.

Fabric Requirements
The Florence Dress PDF sewing pattern is sized between UK sizes 8-20. See the chart for details on fabric requirements.

So what is a PDF pattern?
A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home. Simply download, print, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
