The Heather Dress sewing pattern is designed for advanced beginner to intermediate jersey sewers, and those looking to progress from the Cowl Neck Dress or Ultimate Wrap Dress. With interesting details and construction the Heather Dress is a step up in your jersey-sewing adventure, but with fully-photographed, step-by-step instructions there’s no danger of getting stuck.
For the Heather Dress sewing pattern we recommend a medium weight knit fabric with a low stretch percentage, such as a ponte di roma, double knit jersey or interlock knits. Stable and substantial, these fabrics don’t wriggle around like lightweight jersey and are easy to sew. We recommend you use a ballpoint needle with knit fabrics to avoid snagging your dress.

So what is a PDF pattern?
A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home on A4 or US letter paper. Alternatively you can choose to have the copyshop files printed on large A0 paper, and posted to you at home. If you’re using the A4 or US letter options, simply download, print at home, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
