Lisa Comfort is a quarterly magazine for those who love to make, travel and explore their creativity.

In this mini-mag, you’ll find crafty DIYs, interviews with women I admire, guides to my favourite cities, tutorials, dressmaking hacks and in each issue, an exclusive Sew Over It pattern.

Issue 5 is packed with lots to delve into, including Lisa’s guide to Bath, an interview with Instagram extraordinaire Sara Tasker of Me & Orla, a peek into the history of the pencil skirt, some delicious recipes and a little bit of festive joy with a seasonal centrepiece DIY. What’s more, it’s a double whammy this issue, with two brand new Sew Over It patterns, the Ivy Skirt and Annie Blouse.

Meet the Ivy Skirt
The Ivy Skirt is an on-trend asymmetrical pencil skirt with a faux wrap at the front. It sits on the natural waist for that flattering, nipped-in silhouette, and closes at the centre back with an invisible zip. It’s shaped with darts at the front and back and is finished on the inside with a neat facing. There are two lengths to choose from – a mini skirt or knee-length option. It’s designed to be sewn in medium weight wools for a snuggly winter look, but will work equally well in denim or even leather!

Meet the Annie Blouse
The Annie Blouse is a floaty, long-sleeved top, designed to be sewn in chiffon or other lightweight fabrics, such as rayon, georgette or crepe. Simple in shape, it features set-in sleeves, a loose fit and scooped neckline with pretty gathered effect. The gathering is achieved with shirring elastic, and provides shaping over the bust. It’ll layer up beautifully under a cardi or jumper, and looks gorgeous worn with the Ivy Skirt.

Both patterns come in sizes 8-20. The print versions come beautifully packaged together in their own pattern envelope. The digital version includes print at home versions in A4, US Letter and copyshop sizes.
