Create a piece of artwork for your sofa in our special collaboration class with the London Loom!
Weave the fabric for a unique handmade cushion at the London Loom and then learn to sew it to perfection at Sew Over It HQ.
We have partnered with the London Loom to give you our first ever “weave to sew” workshop. First with the London Loom you will weave your own unique cloth, choosing colours from their huge selection of over 400 yarns. Then you’ll bring your cloth to Sew Over It and learn how to transform it into a beautifully stitched cushion. We’ll teach you to cut out your woven piece, before finishing the fabric’s edges with an overlocker to prevent them from fraying. If you’re a complete beginner we’ll show you how to make an envelope-backed cushion, whereas more experienced sewers have the option to try an invisible zip.
This will be a lovely opportunity to try your hand at two different textile crafts to create something uniquely yours for your home. We can’t wait to see what you create.
Included in the price of the course:
Backing fabric, a cushion pad for your cushion, a zip, a guide to threading a sewing machine and lots of tea and treats!
