1940's Tea Dress Sewalong

Hey everyone,

On this sewalong, we're going to be sewing the 1940's Tea Dress, so if you've seen the pattern and have been itching to sew one for yourself, now could be the perfect time.

We will be posting step-by-step instructions online for you to follow along with. And instead of finishing the dress in a couple of three hour classes, we will be sewing at a nice and relaxed pace over a few weeks. (The only downside is that you will have to bring your own cake!)

The 1940's tea dress is a level 6 pattern, which puts it in intermediate territory. Ideally you will already have a couple of dressmaking projects under your belt, as well as some experience working with finer fabrics. If not, but you're feeling brave anyway, go for it! (But save that expensive silk until you're definitely confident.)

You can get the pattern here from our website.

As we sew together we'd really love you all to let us know how you're getting on. Get in touch or send us your pictures:

We'd love to see what you're all up to!

Looking forward to sewing with you all and seeing your lovely dresses as we you make them!
