One of our most popular courses, the Ultimate Trousers have been around since the beginning. I designed these with a basic fifties capri silhouette in mind but I also wanted to create a great basic trouser pattern that was easy to fit, easy to create other trousers from and, of course, flattering. The beauty of these trousers is that once you have got the fit right you can make them up so quickly!

The Ultimate Trousers are great all year round. They can be made in a lightweight cotton for summer holidays, a nice wool for winter, and denim for in between. And you don't have to make trousers - the pattern comes with a shorts variation. Great for this hot weather we're having!

These trousers are a quick and easy make. They have darts in both the front and back for shaping, an invisible side zip, and they're fully finished at the waist with a facing. You'll be whipping these up in no time!

As with all our new pattern releases we will of course be running a sewalong. We'll be guiding you through the construction of the trousers, but we'll also be covering some common fitting issues. We'll go live on Tuesday 1st July, so grab your pattern and get start peeling those eyes for the perfect fabric.

You can find the fabric requirements below.

You can buy the pattern online, or if you're in London you can pop in and pick up your copy from our Clapham North shop.

To celebrate, I will be making a pair of Ultimate Trousers every day this week (5 pairs in total) to prove how quickly they can be made up! Follow my Instagram account to see what versions I make...
