The Nina Trousers are a beautifully classic pair of wide legged trousers. With their high, fitted waist they have a slight vintage feel, but made in a bold, swishy fabric they are equally on-trend and contemporary. Whether you’re working hard at the office, or relaxing on a summery city break, the Nina Trousers are versatile, fun to style and a true wardrobe workhorse.

Designed to sit on the natural waist, the Nina Trousers feature a straight waistband with a zip fly opening. The waist is shaped with pleats at the front, and double darts at the back. They have in-seam pockets, optional welt pockets at the back, and belt loops along the waistband. The legs fall from the hip for a lovely wide, floaty feel.

It’s a great pattern for those who have sewn their first pair of trousers and want to step their skills up a notch.

The Nina Trousers are an Intermediate sewing pattern.

For the Nina Trousers you’ll need a medium woven fabric with some drape, such as rio or triple crepe, lightweight wool and suitings. If you’d like a floatier pair of trousers, you can also try a lightweight crepe.

The tiled print-at-home Nina Trousers PDF sewing pattern is 36 pages long, the US Letter version is 40 pages long, and the A0 version has 2 pages.

A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home on A4 or US letter paper.

If you're using the A4 or US letter options, simply download, print at home, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
