The Nina Trousers are an intermediate level sewing pattern.
Fancy some extra help?
The Nina Trousers pattern is also available as part of our Advanced Guide to Sewing & Fitting Trousers online class, which comes with both video tutorials as well as illustrated written instructions.
For the Nina Trousers you’ll need a medium woven fabric with some drape, such as rio or triple crepe, lightweight wool and suitings. If you’d like a floatier pair of trousers, you can also try a lightweight crepe. To find the perfect fabric, have a look at our specially curated suggestions.
You will also need:
- a regular 8″ zip
- 1.1m of lightweight interfacing
- 50cm of lining fabric (acetate or lightweight cotton will work well)
- a trouser hook and bar
The Nina Trousers PDF sewing pattern is sized between UK sizes 8-20. See the chart for details on fabric requirements.
Like all our patterns, the sizes are nested to make it easier to grade between the sizes, depending on your measurements.
What will I receive?
The downloadable pattern file contains:

So what is a PDF pattern?
A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home. Simply download, print, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
Never used a PDF pattern before and would like some help? Learn everything you need to know in our handy Guide to Assembling PDF Patterns over on our blog!
