Sewing Level
The Zoe Dress sewing pattern is an advanced beginner level pattern. It’s ideal for anyone who has sewn a few garments before, such as the Full Circle Skirt and Ultimate Shift Dress, and would now like to learn to fit a pattern more closely to their body. Made up of panels, Zoe is the perfect pattern to get to grips with fitting. The princess seams and darts offer endless adjustment options, whether you have a teeny waist, rounded shoulders, a sway back or more. Because ideally you will be using an easy-to-sew, stable fabric, concentration can be fully focussed on achieving a gorgeous fit.
Fabric Suggestions
Zoe works best in medium weight woven fabrics with some structure and body. Think chambray, lightweight denims, cotton poplin, stretch cotton and sateen, lightweight wool, suiting, brocades, jacquards, as well as medium to heavy weight crepes, such as our triple and rio crepes. For a summer dress cotton lawn would also work nicely. We recommending avoiding anything too lightweight with lots of drape (such as rayon), as these won’t hold the shape of the dress.
Fabric Requirements
The Zoe Dress comes in UK sizes 8-20. See the chart for details on fabric requirements.
Like all our patterns, the sizes are nested to make it easier to grade between the sizes, depending on your measurements.

So what is a PDF pattern?
A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home. Simply download, print, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
Happy sewing!
